The Laboratory of Psychology was launched in 1991 by Maria Zafiropoulou (now Emeritus Professor). Its initial name was Laboratory of Developmental Psychology and Psychopathology and was renamed into Laboratory of Psychology in 2015. The new name reflects its broader scope in various areas of psychology including developmental psychology, social psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, research methodology, psychometrics and adult education.
