I studied Environmental Engineering at the Technical University of Crete and completed postgraduate studies in Naval and Marine Technology and Science at the National Technical University of Athens. I received my PhD from the Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance at Tallinn University of Technology (Estonia), with the title “Learning and the Concept of the Commons: How Peer-to-Peer Can Improve Learning and Education in the Digital Age”. I have taught at undergraduate and postgraduate level at Tallinn University of Technology (4 years) as well as at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (5 years), and I have participated as a researcher and as a coordinator in various European research projects related to the commons, education, and open technologies. For four years I was an external collaborator at 6 kindergartens in Crete, developing and teaching the annual environmental education theme. I am also a member of the interdisciplinary research collective P2P Lab, which focuses on the commons. My interests focus on peer-to-peer education, the commons, and convivial technologies.
