Course description<\/strong><\/p>\n

During this course, the student teachers focus on specific issues discussed in the mandatory course \u201cEducational Psychology\u201d and work on their applications in the classroom. The aim is to deepen students\u2019 knowledge and skills so that they will become more efficient in solving everyday problems related with school leaning, achievement, and adaptation in the classroom. Among the topics of the course are the role of intelligence and cognitive abilities in students\u2019 learning and academic attainments, the development of students\u2019 academic self-concept, the development and enhancement of students\u2019 metacognition and self-regulated learning skills by parents and teachers, promoting students\u2019 motivation for learning, teachers\u2019 training in instructing self-regulated learning skills in the classroom, the contribution of social-emotional learning in academic achievement, promoting children\u2019s socio-emotional skills, etc.<\/p>\n
