It discusses museum-educational learning, inquiry learning in exhibitions, cultural spaces and urban landscape and creativity aspects of children\u2019s experience in order to design\/compose educational scenarios inside and outside the school class. It examines educational actions and interventions in cultural environments, printed and digital material for educators and children. Furthermore the course focuses on the potential of participatory and inclusive approaches in educational activities and in critical mediation initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Learning outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In this course students are expected to:\u00a0develop a critical approach on educational activities and material that is offered from museums and cultural institutions, to participate in educational activities and reflect on issues of cultural learning and experience, to design their own educational interventions and material for different museums and sites of cultural relevance.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Assessment<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Assessment involves (a) an written essay (b) participation in oral presentation\/s during the semester\u00a0 (c) oral\/or written exams.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Teaching methods<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lectures, conversation on contemporary\u00a0theories, student\u2019s presentations, on-side research in museums and cultural institutions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Course Code (in greek): \u039a\u03a41390 ECTS Units: 5 Semester: 6 Professor: Nikonanou Niki Course material &nbsp; Course description \u00a0The course examines cultural activities for children.
