Students and Staff Mobility (Erasmus)<\/strong><\/p>\n

General Information on Incoming and Outgoing Students, Academic Staff, Administrative Staff<\/strong><\/p>\n

In relation to the European Program for members\u2019 mobility (students, staff) of the academic community \u201cErasmus Plus\u201d, the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly advocates the mobility of both the academic staff as well as the incoming and outgoing students.<\/p>\n

When it comes to candidates\u2019 selection, the Department takes into account specific criteria, such as their knowledge of English, French, German as well as the host country\u2019s language.
\nThe aim is to enhance participation and to increase the academic community members\u2019 mobility (students, academic staff and administrative staff), while ensuring top-level studies and exchange of experiences and knowledge.<\/p>\n

The Graduate Studies Program of the Department of Early Childhood Education, as regards both obligatory and optional courses, is planned in correspondence to the Departments of Early Childhood Education in the whole country as well as abroad, taking into consideration the international developments, the educational trends and the learning requirements as they emerge in Greece and abroad.<\/p>\n

Outgoing Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to select the candidates, the Department takes into consideration the candidates\u2019 knowledge of English and the host country\u2019s language, requesting an assessment certification. In addition, the total number of the courses successfully completed by the student and the grades (teaching credits) he\/she has acquired, along with his\/her total score up to the time of his\/her assessment, are also considered. These criteria are available on the Department\u2019s webpage.<\/p>\n

Incoming Students<\/strong><\/p>\n

Given the central institutional organizational structure of the Erasmus Program, the Department follows and implements the practices and guidelines as defined by the International Relations Office of the University of Thessaly. The Department\u2019s position, that is, to extend full cooperation with other institutions and to increase its internationalization over time, is realized year-by-year, by constantly enhancing its collaborations and forming partnerships with institutions abroad through Erasmus.<\/p>\n

In recent years, the Department of Early Childhood Education has increased its partnerships with Institutions all over the EU, but also in other countries. It maintains strong ties with Denmark, Belgium, Portugal and Germany.<\/p>\n

For the academic year 2025\u20132026, the Committee on International & European Affairs of the Department of Early Childhood Education consists of the faculty members: Georgios Ampatzidis, Anna Chronaki, Aikaterini Michalopoulou.<\/p>\n

For the academic year 2025\u201326, the following courses are offered in English: Movement and Creative Expression in Early Childhood Education<\/a> (winter semester – lecture), Ethnographic Studies in TechnoMathematical Practices<\/a> (winter semester – tutorial), Art Studio Research and Learning<\/a> (spring semester – tutorial).<\/p>\n

For incoming Erasmus+ students, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences also offers additional courses in English, which can be found at the following link:<\/p>\n
